GENDER/ROLE BALANCE:

I generaly want to have role balanced event rather than gender balanced. I believe that changing roles gives more opportunity to dance and creates more interactions and better energy. From practical reason and after experimenting with different models I ceased from accepting ladies as leaders. There are 4 main resons for my decision.

• During the event, there are moments,

when there is obvious disproportion between male and female dancers

despite exact 50:50 gender balance. The reason is that

men usually arrive earlier to milongas and are hungry to dance with ladies,

who usully arrive a bit later. Than men are already saturated a bit

and feel like having a break on the bar, in which time the dancing hall
becomes more populated by ladies. In such moments, ladies are forced to sit tandas,
while all men on the floor are occuipied and ladies thus have feeling of unfairness.

and additional programs between them.

• Not allways womans cabaceo is understood with same effect as mens cabaceo.

• Ladies that register as leaders later in face of the temptation forget about their promised role
and spend following most of the time.

• For a lady leader to be accepted as leader, she would be expected to have matching leading skill
with the leaders that are accepted, so as to keep the dancing level high
