ACCOMMODATION
BASIC CONCEPT:
Vršovice is a representative residential area with urban structure and overall architecture from the second half of the 20th century.
Obviously, it is my aim to support the participants as much as possible, but the smaller architectural scale of the area contrasts with the scale of the event itself. Therefore, a decentralized solution was chosen as the main strategy.
At the same time, the variability of solutions can accommodate the different preferences of dancers in various parameters, such as distance to the venue, price, parking availability, or the desire to enjoy high-quality accommodation, especially after already investing money to attend.
However, as accommodation costs account for around 40% of the total expenses for such travel, optimizing the price for participants remains the primary objective.
As a result, a variety of hotels, Airbnbs, and other alternative solutions have been considered. I am more or less covering the capacity of the event, which is 350 dancers, but obviously, not all solutions are optimal, and there are always pros and cons to consider.
I still have some in-progress solutions that might increase my capacity to help.

Airbnb & Booking:
I have a profile on Booking because it offers a Genius status, which, with a certain number of booked properties per year, guarantees a discount of 10-15%. I book a range of suitable flats one year in advance, and in combination with the sales, this allows for accommodation at very reasonable prices. I primarily use these flats to ensure I can cover the team, but once this need is met and I am confident that everyone is taken care of, I will release some of the flats to you.
AIRBNB & BOOKING:

Location
The hotel is located 2 km from the venue but is easily connected by a direct tram (both day and night service), making it about 20 minutes away. Public transport is very convenient during the day, and night trams have a reliable schedule. If you coordinate your way home using Google Maps, you can catch your tram and get home in around 20 minutes.
How promo code works
To use the promo code, you must enter it in the registration system after selecting the dates. It will reduce the price by 20% off the maximum cost of hotel rooms or apartments. Therefore, it is most efficient for one person to make the booking for a couple or group and handle the payment. Cancellations are possible with a 100% refund up to 48 hours before arrival.
Appartments
There are 4 apartments available for 2-3 people, under attic with view over Prague and the promo code bringing the price to from under 75 EUR per person per night (for 3 people). This reduced price is for the whole apartment, therefore it requires group of 3 people to coordinate or by 2 still very resonable price. Hotel Rooms
There are hotel rooms for around 80 guests, with promo code bringing price is under 95 EUR per person per night for a double room. This reduced price is for the whole hotel room, therefore it requires a couple to coordinate. Hostel Room
The hotel also has hostel rooms with shared bathrooms.
The hostel area is divided into a shared wing and a women’s wing, providing more comfort for female guests. The rooms are a mix of single beds and double bunk beds, with a capacity of 3-8 people per room.
Booking Options:

There are two ways to book accommodation:
1) Group Booking:
You can coordinate as a group and book an entire room by having one person reserve the full capacity. If needed, it is possible to cancel the reservation 24 hours in advance without any obligation to pay reservation fees. This option allows you to increase your comfort by booking, for example, a 6-bed room for just 4 people.
2) Individual Booking:
You can book a bed in one of the rooms using the promo code. Guests who use the promo code will be grouped together in separate rooms, so only tango participants will be staying together. For instance, if 4 participants with the promo code each book a bed in a 6-bed room, they will have the room to themselves with no risk of sharing with non-tango guests.
The price for hostel rooms varies from 35 EUR per night (for an 8-bed room) to 50 EUR per night (for a 3-bed room).

Location
Hotel is around the corner from the venue, attached to ice skating stadion. It was build as accommodation facilities for the sport teams coming for competitions and is very simple. However I have seen all rooms and the hotel is clean and offers what enthusiastic tanguero really needs, simple, calm sleeping place close to the venue for nic price.
Available rooms
I have the whole hotel booked.
I use the hotel primarily for the team, but once I am sure I accommodated all my needs, I will be offering the remaining capacity. Most probably I will start offering the places after New Years year to maximalize the money the registrated participants would safe.
Parking
Due to its location and original purpose, the hotel also has available parking places, that will be offering to dancers who will need it and will ask me, as long as I saturate the basic needs of the event (parking of music groups and team members)

Location
Hotel is in almost perfect location to the venue even if slightly more distant to be ideal. The way between the venue and hotel is through or around the park, where the open air milongas are
Booking of rooms
The booking is a bit tricky. The management of the hotel is releasing the capacity for booking the rooms for next year somewhere in autumn for following year, and obviously it is very fast occupied. Therefore I have an agreement with the manager, that she would coordinate with me the date of published rooms, so as we could book the most possible of the capacity for ourselves
Parking
The hotel is located on a main street with free parking zones around. Prague is safe city but obviously no one will be guarantee for your car

There are few other alternative options, I always accommodate as many people as possible in my place, even if it is further away from the venue, there is one small apartment of Giancarlo de Vita, (my event coordinator) close to the venue and I might have some few squatty options as well, if you bring sleeping bag and mattrace 🙂
